Hey friends,
There will be no sr.high Friday night group this Friday night (Feb. 24), because your leaders and those students who registered will be attending the Today’s Teens Conference on Saturday Feb. 25!
The window has closed for registering for this conference through Knox, but if you’re still interested, check out: www.todaysteens.ca
You can register yourself online and meet us there!!!
Let me or one of your leaders know if you’re attending and we can meet up for lunch.
Friday March 2nd, all your leaders and registered students will be meeting at Knox @ 5pm (no later! eat dinner before or bring with you!) to pack the bus and head north for the RETREAT!!! woohoo! so psyched!
If you aren’t attending either of these events, we will see you back at Knox for our regular sr.high Fridays @7PM, March 9th.
Peace,
Michelle

Hey friends,
See you tomorrow @ KNOX, FRIDAY FEBRUARY 17th!!!
This week we explore the idea of surrendering our stuff to God. What does that mean? What does it look like? Hear from Hazel, Francis Chan, and stories from other students who wrestle with doing this.
THIS FRIDAY…
see you @ 7PM
PLAY: More TRIVIA and CHOCOLATE (this time about HAZEL…come prepared!), quality chill time, and–several gaming options…gym sports, foosball, pool, board/card games etc.
LISTEN: Hazel will be leading and sharing with us! Including a video with students sharing their stories.
DISCUSS: SMALL GROUPS! What do you think about what Hazel shared about the idea of surrendering our stuff to God? What questions do you have? Ask questions, discuss your thoughts and share what your week was like.
EAT: And, finally, tasty snacks and drinks will be available for consumption.
@ 9PM, the doors close.
Hazel didn’t teach us how to dougie…but maybe she can teach us the running man? If not, dancing Kim will…check it out, if you dare.
Remember to bring your RETREAT permission forms and payment!
Peace,
Michelle

So, we just had our first 30 Hour Famine Meeting (thanks, Michelle Quaye, for being able to stick around!). It was pretty awesome! There’s some great stuff lined up for that night (April 16-17) including a competition btwn youth groups to see who raised the most amount of money per person on average.
The goal is $150 per person, and while I know that sounds like a lot, we CAN do it!
Save the date, get involved, eat nothing, do something!
